Start With a Free Phone Call:
Let's connect for a free phone call (903-662-8735 or ashleyk@ashleycounseling.com) to see if an EMDR Intensive is the right fit for you—and yes, I actually return phone calls. Having trained associates for over 20 years, I have an extensive network of referrals and am always willing to connect you to the right therapist if I'm not the right fit for your needs.

In traditional 50-minute weekly therapy, the first 10 to 15 minutes are often spent catching up on the week, and the last 10 minutes are spent closing down so you can walk back into your workday—leaving only 25 minutes for deep trauma reprocessing. For many busy, high-functioning adults, revisiting painful memories for an hour at a time only to pack them back up until next week can feel frustratingly slow, like opening a wound without having enough uninterrupted time to let it heal.

A Therapy Intensive changes that trajectory. Instead of spreading your healing out over months or years of one-hour appointments, an EMDR and Somatic Intensive condenses the work into dedicated 3- to 4-hour blocks. Drawn from my 25+ years of clinical experience as an LPC-S, LCDC, EMDRIA-Certified Therapist and Approved Consultant (since 2011), and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), each intensive blends EMDR reprocessing with somatic nervous-system regulation, IFS, clinical hypnosis, and expressive grounding so you can go deeper while staying safely within your window of tolerance.

Intensive Packages & Who They Help Most:

• Short-Term EMDR Intensive ($4,000 — Payment Plans Available): Designed for focused breakthroughs over one month; includes one 90-minute intake, four 3-hour intensive sessions (once per week for 1 month), and one 60-minute follow-up session 4 weeks post-intensive.

• Long-Term EMDR Intensive ($2,700 — Payment Plans Available): Designed for layered complex trauma and deeper ongoing integration; includes two 4-hour intensives per month plus two 1-hour ongoing therapy sessions per month.

• Months of Progress in Days, Not Years: Removes the weekly "opening up and packing back up" cycle so your brain and body have uninterrupted time to complete processing.

• Standalone or Adjunct to Your Current Therapist: Come for a targeted intensive on a specific trauma block and return to your primary talk therapist, or use an intensive to jumpstart ongoing work with me in North Dallas.
